Summer Journeys Program

Greensboro Wonder & Wisdom, Inc. believes that learning is important, not just the fundamentals but a love for learning.  We expose children to fun activities that promote self esteem and a desire for lifelong learning.  Learning about ourselves, others and accepting the differences that make us each unique and wonderful is our goal.  Learning that there are no limits to how great we can be and how great others can be is our dream.

Summer activities run full-day, five days a week, for eight weeks (end of June through mid-August).  Each week’s theme provides a variety of activities for children.  Daily scheduling will give children both active time to release energy and quiet time for relaxation and rest.  Afternoons are spent at the beach (weather permitting), and are designed primarily for play.

The summer of 2007 included a residency with Vermont’s own Grammy nominated “Junkman”.  Working with the Wonder & Wiz kids, a sound sculpture was created completely out of recycled materials and is still available for community use!
